The Company

UNIMATICA is a private company founded in 2000 with a minority equity stake owned
by the University of Bologna. The mission of the company is digital administration by using
applications and services based on electronic signatures and secure web technologies. The
UNIMATICA logo incorporates the "Sigillum Magnum", the symbol of the University of
Bologna, a guarantee of technological excellence of IT products and services.
UNIMATICA is the Italian leading company of digital administration services for
public administrations, banks and private companies.
UNIMATICA's products and services intended for paperless processes and
organizations can use different kinds of digital signatures and mainly "strong" digital
certificates with legal value (delivered and renewed by Certification Authorities, formally enabled
by the government).
UNIMATICA products and services can eliminate the paper from the beginning and manage digital documents and records directly. For paper documents, UNIMATICA can provide digitalization services, storing and archiving services, in accordance with the law in force. All UNIMATICA software products and services are created in web architecture and are therefore well suited for Application Services Provisions and outsourcing.
