UNISERV

Digital Signature web services

UNISERV is the platform for electronic signature of digital documents that provides all types of signatures allowed by law today.

UNISERV allows the simultaneous use of all current signature types:

  • Qualified Electronic Signature QES (with smart card, USB token, OTP via SMS/App)
  • Automatic qualified electronic signature with HSM
  • Graphometric and OTP Advanced Electronic Signature
  • Android and iOS mobile signature on tablets, pads and smartphones.
  • SPID signature (AES-OTP process within a SPID strong authentication session)

The service can be delivered by Unimatica in SaaS (Software as a Service) methodology, through its ISO 27001 certified Data Center infrastructures, in HA (High Availability) and D/R (with Disaster/Recovery at secondary Data Center) and BC (Business Continuity) configurations. Alternatively, the UniServ platform can be installed and operated on the Customer's Data Centers.

The availability of the platform in SaaS mode enables the Customer to activate the service very quickly and thus allows for a possible subsequent insourcing phase (On Premises) at its IT infrastructure.

UNISERV handles all digital signature formats required by the regulations: CAdES (pkcs7), PAdES (pdf), XAdES (xml signed) and the various multiple signature structures of the same document.

Signed documents can be automatically sent to Unimatica's UNISTORAGE legal arhiving system, which is natively integrated with the signature services.

The UniServ platform is fully compliant with Italian and European eIDAS (EU Regulation 910/2014) and GDPR (EU Regulation 2016/679) regulations.

It is also hardware independent, allowing system and service configuration for the technical hardware components chosen by the customer: smart cards, USB tokens, HSMs, graphometric signature pads, tablets and mobile devices (iOS, Android and Windows).
Similarly, the platform is CA independent, allowing the use of signature certificates and encryption keys from different national and international CAs (Certification Authorities).

FUNCTIONS:

  • Online signing of one or more documents, with control of the expected signer
  • Online signing by one or more signatories, even if not in co-presence and at deferred times
  • Server-side processing of the affixing of signatures on documents also with graphical evidence
  • Downloading of signed documents
  • Native integration with Legal Archiving System and other Unimatica services
  • Verification of signatures on one or more signed documents
  • Time stamp affixing on documents and verification of time stamps
  • Extraction of information from certificates
  • Authentication of a user from the certificate
  • Enrichment of documents by inserting signature fields and creating masks
  • Process of issuing/renewing digital signatures and configuration on related services

Qualified Electronic Signature is placed on documents through the use of an external device ("token" or "smart card") that can be connected to the computer via USB and issued to the person identified by a Certification Authority, or via OTP via SMS or App. It uses asymmetric encryption systems.

We talk about Automatic Signature when HSM (Hardware Security Module) is used.

Advanced Electronic Signature allows you to sign contracts and documents remotely, from any device and while working securely, even if you do not have a signature certificate issued by a Certification Authority. It can use a verification OTP code generated at the time of signing.

Time Stamping is a service that associates a legally certain date and time with a digital document, thus creating an immutable "imprint" over time.
